Life as Improv

My three year old mentor told me to calm down yesterday. I laughed. She laughed.

I think she was being a little slow to start reading the next book to me and I got a little excited. It was all in play. We were doing life as improv. This comes more naturally for the small humans. They feel their feelings and with that comes an intuitive understanding that feelings shift. We changed our plans for play at least ten times yesterday.

I am beginning to understand that the more we soften, lean in and open to life as improv the more pleasant the experiences. This way of being with “both/and” allows all of it to be in the room. For our whole selves to arrive and be witnessed.

May we experience the miracle of life.
