Clarity of Vision
To be nerdy, I have been eager for 2020 to arrive since 1990. Truly, I had a rather rigid notion or intuition that 2020 would be a year of clarity because of the famous 20/20 for perfect vision.
As research for writing this blog post, I looked into what 20/20 visual acuity actually means and frankly it’s a rather random combination of numbers. Essentially, it’s based what we can see from 20 feet away and besides how is it determined what “a normal” person can see at 20 feet. I digress.
I was fifteen years old in 1990. Today I am on the brink of becoming 35 years old in Feb.
I suppose clarity and discernment have arrived with ripe timing in 2020. I imagine that this has more to do with me turning a corner in life and less to do with the year itself. After all, we wake up at different times and in different spaces. All in our our unique, diving timing.
I attended my first Tai Chi class this morning. I was the youngest person. I enjoyed it so much. It felt like a coming home. We need space and time for balance and action. That was the wisdom.
