Post-Reunion Nap

I am waking up from a nap with Wally & Atticus in my cozy, sunlight bedroom nook. I feel like I could sleep for days. Is this the post-reunion integration phase?

Over my lifetime, there have been a handful of sporadic (in timing and location) Samore family reunions and this is the first time I attended. We are now four generations deep into the Samore family in the United States. All are passed from the first generation and all a men in the second generation. It’s not until the third generation that the Samore women were born into the family.

My grand-father John Samore left Sioux City, Iowa with his bride, Nellie, to escape the extreme weather conditions and live the American dream in Los Angeles, which is how my branch became “the Hollywood” Samore’s. Cracks me up! As it turns out, my grand-father was at least three generations ahead of his time and with a depression era mentality became a successful entrepreneur. He was also a freelance photographer, as he saw beauty in everything.

Within one generation, the Samore family went from peddlers to PhDs. In this next generation, with discernment and conscious choice we will see what arises.
